Conducting fieldwork in a bustling and complex city like Istanbul came with its set of challenges. Language barriers, adapting to local customs, and gaining the trust of the people under study were among the hurdles the researchers faced. However, these challenges also led to invaluable insights and personal growth for the participants. This anthropological research was especially impactful in the foreign setting of Istanbul, where everything was distinct and intriguing. The students experienced an adrenaline rush from immersing themselves in a different culture, eager to learn about its history and the lives of ordinary people. This enriching experience was made possible thanks to the immense support of our university. We believe that sharing this event on our Facebook page would not only showcase our department's activities but also highlight the practical aspects of anthropological studies and the global perspective our students gain.

The Anthropology Department's ethnographic fieldwork in Istanbul was an enlightening journey into the heart of a city that bridges continents, cultures, and time. The research conducted during this venture contributes to the ongoing efforts to better understand the intricacies of human existence in a rapidly changing world.

Istanbul, with its history, diversity, and vibrant spirit, provided an ideal backdrop for anthropologists to explore the many facets of human culture and society. This experience served as a testament to the enduring relevance and importance of anthropology in today's globalized world.
