About the speaker:
Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun, an Oxford and Yale alumnus, returned to Myanmar in 2014 to empower the youth and foster responsible leadership through liberal arts and sciences education. In 2017, he founded Parami Institute to offer innovative programs for Myanmar college graduates. After raising funds to create a residential university, plans were halted by the military coup in 2021.
Dr. Tun adapted by establishing Parami University, a non-profit online institution licensed by the Higher Education Licensure Commission, which began offering degrees in fall 2022 for students in Myanmar and other authoritarian-controlled areas. FIRST YEAR SEMINAR Speaker: Dr. Kyaw
